We've soldered the Regaliz bale on the back of this bug at a slight angle to give this beetle a sense of "movement".
We LOVE Ladybugs, (technically a beetle, :). Especially when garden season comes around and Ladybugs LOVE to gorge on plant damaging insects! The spots and bright colors are meant to warn would-be attackers that this beetle tastes terrible. Ladybugs can secrete a fluid from joints in their legs which gives them a foul taste. Beautiful and smart!
